  Hy-Vee has good selection and friendly staff. Their health market is fantastic. Their prices tend to be a little higher. But you can't beat the ability to find rare produce in the Midwest.

  I was in this store on Friday 3-2-18, mainly for the crackers/cookies that were 5/$5. Somehow I messed up and got the wrong brand on one of the groups. The cashier, bless her heart could'nt find what was wrong so she called over an assistant manager, who in turn called over another assistant manager who had been there all day to figure things out. The second asst manager said I had too many of one brand and not enough of the other brand. I said to take off one of the too many and I would get another of the not enough brand. So he fiddled with the register and fiddled with the register and then just walked away! The 3 of us left just looked at each other and the first assistant manager said, "What just happened?" as we watched the guy walk away, putting on his hat! The total was still the same. No one knew what he had done while fiddling with the register, and there are now at least 5 people backed up in line. So to finish this story, I told the cashier to cancel the $64 plus order, that I was sorry, and I left. I won't be back.
